You would like to go skitouring and enjoy the beauty of the mountains in winter. In the training “Introduction Skitouring” you will learn the basics of skitouring. After this training you will be able to do easy ski tours with an experienced leader. You will learn:

• How to put on an avalanche transceiver (beacon) and to check it
• How to put on skins and crampons for skis
• How to use a touring binding
• Walking technique with skins and touring bindings
• Basics for setting up a trail
• Information about ski touring gear
• Tips and tricks

Requirements:
Stamina to walk about 1 hour up hill, good ski technique and good health.

Services:
Mountain guide for about 5 – 6 hours of training including a small skitour. Skitouring equipment is not included but can be hired.

Standard:
CHF 650.00 for 1 or 2 people, for every additional person a fee of CHF 40.00 per person will be charged.

Peak Season:
21st December 2025 – 3rd January 2026 / 8th February – 21st February 2026 / 29th March – 18th April 2026.
CHF 690.00 for 1 or 2 people, for every additional person a fee of CHF 50.00 per person will be charged.

You need the following equipment for introduction skitouring:

Compulsory Equipment:
Rucksack 30 litre with ski fixing system – Strap to tie the ski tips together – Skis with touring bindings* – Skins* – Ski crampons (harscheisen)* – Ski poles and spare basket* – Lightweight shovel* – Probes* – Transceiver (Beeper) with new batteries 457mHz* – Touring trousers / salopettes – Waterproof / breathable jacket with hood – Fleece jacket or jumper – Gloves – Shirt – Ski socks – Warm hat – Sunglasses with side protection – Sun screen factor >25 – Lip balm factor >15 – Flask or water bottle, about 1 Litre, no camel bag – Snack.

Nice to have:
Pocket knife – Thermal underwear – Spare gloves – Hat for the sun – Goggles – Helmet* – Air bag* – Face mask – Compeed, second skin, sport tape – Camera (small and light) – Toilette paper – Insurance card – Swiss rail ticket.

Items with a * can be rented.
