Castor Pollux Breithorn in 2 Days-Mountain Guide Zermatt
The Castor Pollux Breithorn climb within a Mountain Guide Zermatt is for strong ones who like classic mountaineering
3 classic alpine climbs around Zermatt with a minimum of walking for the access and return. Normally the access for Pollux or Castor takes about 1 1/2 hours. With the climb; Pollux, Castor and Breithorn you walk only the way to the Pollux and the walk back will be nicely avoided with a full Breithorn traverse. It can’t be easier.
Of course you can book Breithhorn, Castor or Pollux also as a day trip.
Requirements:
Safe walking and climbing with crampons, great stamina, fit for high altitude, capable to climb degree III.
Programme 1:
Day 1: Meeting your Mountain Guide – Klein Matterhorn – Pollux – Castor – Riffugio Val d’Ayas. Duration 7 hours.
Day 2: Riffugio Val d’Ayas – Roccia Nera – complete Breithorn traverse – Klein Matterhorn. Duration 7 – 8 hours.
Fee:
With 2 climbers CHF 1’060.00 per person.
With 1 climber CHF 2’030.00.
Programme 2:
Day 1: Meeting your Mountain Guide – Klein Matterhorn – Pollux – Castor – Riffugio Val d’Ayas. Duration 7 hours.
Day 2: Riffugio Val d’Ayas – half Breithorn traverse – Klein Matterhorn. Duration 5 – 6 hours.
Fee:
With 2 climbers CHF 1’010.00 per person.
With 1 climber CHF 1’910.00.
Services:
Mountain guide fee for 2 days, accommodation in dormitory, breakfast, dinner, drinks are not included. Transportation is not included. Without reduction approx. CHF 120.00.
