Zermatt is surrounded by most of the four thousand metre high peaks in the alps. Everyone who wants to go high will be satisfied here. Mountaineers will find everything here from the easy snowy fourthousander to the extreme difficult mixed climbs. Sometimes the summits are not too far apart and invite you to collect fourthousanders. There are also climbs where even in high season the mountaineer is on his own such as Dent d'Hérens. The following tours are only a few suggestions.
